October 2011- Mary Gilbert

Mary Gilbert

Hey! My name is Mary and I’m from Woodbridge, VA which is right outside of DC.  Most of my time is spent working, which sucks.  That’s why when I do have free time I definitely try take advantage of it.  As often as I can I get to the gym.  It’s such a great stress reliever and I’ve noticed that when I make it a point to go a few times a week, I feel soo much happier, energetic, and overall healthier.  I used to focus mostly on cardio fitness but after Danny started College Body and giving ideas on how girls can incorporate weights into their routine, I’ve taken on that challenge.  But I am not saying this is what I do for fun…I definitely don’t categorize working out as one of my favorite things to do.  Like all other girls, I love love love to shop.  It’s one of the reasons I work so much.  I also like to read….I know it sounds lame, but it’s another huge stress reliever.  Mostly though I love meeting new people!

  1.  What school do you go to and what year are you?
I currently am in my junior year at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
  2.  What’s your favorite muscle on a guy?
It’s too impossible for me to pick just one…. I would say quads….and triceps….and calf muscles.  I appreciate all muscles on guys though…its just that those three are what I notice  first.
  3.   What is something you look for in a dating a guy (personality wise)?
For me, a guy has to be confident in themselves and who they are.  I don’t think I could like  someone who didn’t like themselves.  Guys without confidence sometimes overcompensate and act extremely cocky which is the absolute worst quality to have.  Confident guys tend to be more modest because they don’t feel the need to constantly show off or put others down to make themselves feel better.
  4.    What is one sentence/line a guy could use to get your attention?
This is such a hard question.. I can’t really think of ONE sentence a guy could say.  But if you’re gonna go with a pick up line, I’d want it to be the cheesiest stupidest one so that it would make me laugh.  Something like “lets make like a fabric softener and snuggle” or something ridiculous.
  5.     What is your biggest “turn off” in a guy?
Laziness is the BIGGEST TURN OFF.  This is one of the reasons I love the College Body page so much…it encourages guys to start making little changes that can improve their body AND their mind.  If a guy has no drive, I would have a really hard time seeing a future with him so therefore its an instant turnoff.  It ties in with the confidence thing I was talking about…if you’re lazy you probably don’t have much confidence in yourself either.
